# Billing

> Subscribe, change plans, manage payment methods and invoices, cancel subscriptions, and understand locked organizations.

Each organization’s billing is separate. Owners and admins manage it from **Settings → Billing**.

## Subscribing and changing plans

Every organization needs an active subscription (or a valid license) to unlock servers and related features. New accounts start locked until you subscribe or redeem a license.

To choose or change a plan:

1. Open **Settings → Billing**
2. Click **Subscribe** or **Change plan**
3. On the billing page, pick **Monthly** or **Yearly** and select a plan

New paid subscriptions include a **7-day free trial**. Upgrades are prorated and charged today. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal.

## Payment method and invoices

On **Settings → Billing** you can:

* **Update card** / **Add card**
* Change **billing email** and **billing address**
* View and download past **Invoices**

## Canceling subscriptions

To cancel, open **Settings → Billing** → **Cancel plan**, then confirm **Cancel subscription**.

Access continues until the end of the current billing period, with a short grace period afterward. When access ends, the organization becomes [locked](#locked-organizations).

If a cancellation is still resumable, use **Resume plan** on the same page.

  When an organization is locked, you cannot create or manage servers until billing is restored. Existing VPN containers on your VPS may keep running, but dashboard management stays blocked.

## Locked organizations

An organization is **unlocked** when it has:

* An active, trialing, or past-due Stripe subscription
* A canceled subscription still inside the grace period
* An active affiliate / license entitlement
* A staff-assigned plan

Otherwise it is **locked**. The overview and server screens show a subscription required state with a link to **Manage billing**.
