# OpenVPN on iPhone

> Connect to a TunnelFleet OpenVPN server from iPhone or iPad.

  <Step title="Install OpenVPN Connect">
    Install **OpenVPN Connect** from the [App Store](https://apps.apple.com/app/openvpn-connect/id590379981).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Get the profile onto your device">
    AirDrop or securely transfer the `.ovpn` file, or open the TunnelFleet profile URL on the iPhone.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Import">
    Open the profile with OpenVPN Connect and add it.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Connect">
    Enter your VPN username and password, then connect. Allow the VPN configuration when iOS prompts.
  </Step>

## Tips

* Prefer the **TCP** profile on networks that interfere with UDP
* Face ID / credential save is convenient on personal devices only
* Remove profiles from the app when a device leaves your control

## Verify

Open Safari → [ifconfig.me](https://ifconfig.me) and confirm the server IP.

## Troubleshooting

| Can't add VPN configuration | Delete and re-import; allow OpenVPN under VPN settings |
